Our signature postpartum program

CORE-STRONG MOM

Stop leaking, improve prolapse, strengthen your core and your confidence!

Core-Strong Mom was designed specifically for postpartum women who:
  • Pee on themselves when they cough/sneeze, lift, jog, etc
  • Have been diagnosed with or feel they have pelvic organ prolapse
  • Just feel like they are different since having babies and want help reconnecting with their bodies

We address the entire core

We have seen the best results when we address the entire core rather than just the pelvic floor. Functionally, the core includes: the respiratory diaphragm, the abdominal muscles, the spinal muscles, the hips, and the pelvic floor. Things like posture, muscle imbalances, and movement patterns can influence how all these pieces work together. Our Core-Strong Mom program teaches you how to evaluate your body's specific needs. Then you learn corrective and strengthening exercises that build strength and balance in the whole core to support your pelvic floor.

How it works

Core-Strong Mom will teach you exactly what to do, why your body needs it, and make it accessible to you anytime and anywhere you can access the internet.

The program is delivered via video through our website. For best results you will need to dedicate 15-30 minutes almost everyday. While some clients complete the program in as little as 8 weeks, many other busy moms take longer.

While the exercises are how you'll improve your body, we have found that understanding the why is key to success. That's why the program is packed with explanations about the how and why behind what you are doing.

The Core-Strong Mom program is created as a self-study course. You will not receive individualized assistance, but we've created the program with lots of variety and options to choose from, so you can follow the exercises that are right for your specific body.

Then best part? We are offering this COMPLETELY FREE to all participants. That means you get full access to all phases of our program for FREE.

Frequently Asked Questions About Core-Strong Mom

We've thought outside the box to develop Core-Strong Mom because we felt traditional models of care weren't working for many women. Because of our unique design, we often get the following questions:

Is Core-Strong Mom right for me?

Core-Strong Mom was designed specifically for postpartum women who:
  • Pee on themselves with heavy activities like cough/sneeze, lifting, jogging, etc  -OR-
  • Have been diagnosed with or feel they have pelvic organ prolapse  -OR-
  • Just feel like their bodies are different since having babies and want help reconnecting with their core and pelvic floor so they can get back to exercising with confidence

Other things that would indicate Core-Strong Mom is right for you:
  • You're ready to put in some work but just don't know where to start
  • You've wanted to do something to feel better since having kids but don't have time/resources to go see someone in person
  • You're comfortable following along with video instruction and will reach out when you have questions

How much does it cost?

Completely FREE!

What if I can't commit as much time as recommended?

Remember, Core-Strong Mom was created by a mom of 2 who gets it! Some weeks, you'll feel like you're flying through your workouts right on track. Then all of a sudden 2 weeks go by and you've barely remembered to eat, not to mention squeeze in exercises!

If you kept up with the program perfectly, you could finish everything in 7-8 weeks. We've built in 4 whole weeks extra because we absolutely expect you to have setbacks.

While we advertise that you'll need 15-30 minutes most days to do all the exercises, that's how long it takes to follow along with the videos. Once you've learned the exercises, you'll likely flow through your routines in less time which can help you squeeze them into busy days.

The good news is that more often than not, our clients are starting to notice less symptoms within the first few weeks of Core-Strong Mom. That doesn't mean they're symptom free by then, but you don't have to complete every workout before you see results.

What if it takes me longer than 3 months to reach my goals?

There are lots of reasons it may take longer than 3 months to complete all of Core-Strong Mom.

Because every body is different, some moms progress through the phases slower than others. We'd rather you take more time and really allow your body to adapt to the exercises in each phase instead of progressing before you're ready. It may take 6 months before you've really mastered the final phase, and that's why we've given you lifetime access to the content. Progressing at your own pace is key.

You can continue to receive one-on-one help from your coach and support from our private online community for as long as you choose! The fee is $50/month after the first 3 months which are included with your Core-Strong Mom purchase.

Sometimes, unexpected events happen that require women to take extended time off from the Core-Strong Mom program. If this happens to you, we encourage you to reach out to your coach and explain the situation. We may be able to freeze your membership for a few months so your coaching won't expire before you're able to get back to the program.

How is this different than my doctor sending me to a PT clinic?

First, we'd like to make sure it's clear that the Core-Strong Mom program is not considered physical therapy. While it was developed based on our founder Laura's extensive educational background and professional experience, it is a functional and corrective exercise program, not PT.

Typically in a PT setting, you receive a thorough evaluation of your specific symptoms to help create an individualized treatment plan. You receive various types of treatments within your session and learn exercises to do at home between sessions. Commonly you see your PT between 1-3 times per week to assess how you're doing and progress your exercises as needed.

That process is great for individualized attention, hands on treatments, and certain diagnoses that benefit from regular assessments. Just don't forget that you still have to stay accountable to doing your exercises at home between appointments to see optimal results.

But speaking from experience, there are downfalls to this approach:
  • If you have extra questions or need extra time to learn exercises, it's easy to run out of time. That means some parts of treatment have to get bumped to the next appointment
  • If you forget details, you have  to wait until your next appointment to discuss
  • You have to attend regular appointments outside of your house (and find childcare!)
  • Unease of addressing what feels like an intimate issue in a more public space
  • Often, insurance dictates how long you can see your PT, and you may have to stop going before you've been able to advance to higher level exercises for long-term maintenance of results

These downfall are what we've tried to improve upon with Core-Strong Mom.
  • You can proceed completely at your own pace and receive one-on-one help when you need it (and without needing to coordinate care for the kids!)
  • If you forget something, you can go back and watch that video again or ask for clarification
  • You don't need a referral from your physician to join because it's an exercise program not physical therapy (though we recommend you be cleared for exercise before starting)
  • You are still supported one-on-one by your coach through text and video messaging and zoom calling which allows us to personalize your program to your unique needs
  • And one of our favorite parts: Core-Strong Mom is more comprehensive and progresses to higher level challenges by the end of the program than a traditional PT care plan would allow. Because we're not limited by the downfalls above, we're able to progress you to more advanced exercises that set you up for better longterm success!

How early postpartum can I start Core-Strong Mom?

The standard medical model usually clears women for exercise around 6 weeks postpartum. We fear that in many cases this doesn't really respect healing time frames of the postpartum body and don't recommend many forms of heavy exercise or running unit about 3 months postpartum.

That being said, our program starts slowly by helping you understand your body and connect with key core muscles groups. As you accomplish that, your body may tolerate heavier forms of exercise than it otherwise would.

We allow women to start Core-Strong Mom as early as 6 weeks postpartum as long as they have received medical clearance from their providers. We encourage all women- but especially those starting the program in the first 6-10 weeks postpartum- to communicate closely with their coach about any symptoms they may feel as they progress through the exercises phases. This way we can help you monitor how things are going and if modifications would be helpful.

What equipment do I need?

We tried to make Core-Strong Mom easy to do from anywhere with as little equipment as possible. At times you'll use props like a rolled up towel (or yoga block if you have one), a tennis ball or foam roller for soft tissue release, and a set of resistance bands that can be purchased from Amazon or a sporting goods store (like this).

You'll be doing some work from the floor and kneeling, so you'll also need a soft floor space like a carpet or soft mat.

That's all!

Who isn't right for Core-Strong Mom?

Women can experience a lot of different symptoms after having babies. While this program is intended to be holistic and address a lot of issues, it is not specifically designed for women with severe pelvic pain, severe diastasis recti, or other severe urogenital issues that may complicate your pelvic floor and core healing.

To be clear: each of those conditions mentioned above can benefit from treatment by a skilled pelvic health practitioner, so please seek help, but this specific course is not designed to help those types of diagnoses.

Other factors that may indicate Core-Strong Mom is NOT right for you:
  • You don't have reliable access to the internet to view the course materials
  • You don't like to learn material on your own but would rather someone help you one-on-one each time you're ready to do your exercises
  • You know you're not going to consistently do the work unless someone is with you one-on-one for accountability

Our coaches are here to help with accountability, understanding what to do, and work through challenges, but if you know that you're much more of a one-on-one type of person for exercise, this program may not be for you.
