Please complete these quick forms BEFORE participating in the free STARTUP class. Participating in the STARTUP class or any Forever Fit class implies that you have read and agreed to these documents.
This free class is designed to to accomplish a few goals:
1- Give those interested in Forever Fit an introduction to Laura as an instructor, the Forever Fit class format, and general overview of how class works
2- Start to familiarize new clients with our standard warmup and cooldown routine. Laura talks class through each in every workout, but it can be a bit easier to follow if you've done it before. In this STARTUP class, Laura goes through these elements much slower to help you understand the technique and purpose of various exercises. Regular Forever Fit classes will go through these sections as a bit faster pace as there won't be in-depth explanations given.
3- Teach some basic exercise movements like squats, push-ups, planks, and lunges that will be utilized in various forms during many classes. As a PT it's important to Laura that everyone understands how to perform these exercises safely. She'll give technique reminders during regular classes as well, but this STARTUP class takes more time to talk about technique.
4- To introduce new clients to a basic circuit method of exercising that will be utilized in many exercise classes with Forever Fit. While this STARTUP class has only short, low intensity circuits, regular classes will include longer workouts with the option for higher intensity exercises. Laura will also talk through lower intensity options so exercisers can choose their challenge level each workout.
**Please remember to work at your own pace and listen to your body. You may do more or less repetitions, sets, or weight that Laura describes. In the end it's your job to protect yourself. Remember, there's no point in pushing so hard in one workout that you're too hurt or miserable to continue exercising. Start slow and build a habit that can last to keep you FOREVER Fit!
