Breakfast BAM (banana avocado mash)

The sweetness and creaminess of bananas mixed with the richness of avocados creates a smooth delicious base for this breakfast treat.

Ingredients: 
  • 1 Banana (ripe to overripe)
  • ½  Avocado
  • ½ tsp of your favorite spices: cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, ginger
  • ½ cup mixed and matched of your favorite crunchy add-ons: raw or roasted nuts, oats, buckwheat groats, raw cacao nibs, shredded coconut,
  • Optional:  For some added healthy fat and bulk to keep you full, you can also add 1 Tbsp of: ground flax, hemp seeds, chia seed, coconut milk

Directions
  • Slice both the banana and avocado into small pieces in a bowl. You can leave them as slices or use a spoon to mash them together. Add your spice(s) and mix. Top with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
  • Note: if you combine the banana and avocado the night before, the flavors blend even more and create a dreamy rich texture
